March is upon us and we are now three months into the year. What will this month look like for you? What does Spring signify for you? It means trees and flowers bloom, cool weather fades into warmth sunshine, the laughter of children as they are playing outside in expectation of warmer weather and many activities for this month, such as, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Pi Day, and Daylight Savings where we get another hour of daylight at the end of the day. if you are in New Mexico it can signify WIND. So, wherever you are, enjoy the earth’s renewing from the winter as it wakes up in bursts of color.

We appreciate you stopping by our page. We are excited to share a little bit about us at the Amy Tillotson State Farm Agency.

Here's a little bit about me: I am a second-generation State Farm agent, experienced in forging long-term relationships with the people of my community. I have been immersed in insurance my entire life since both my parents were in the business since 1971, and I am continuing that legacy. I began my career with State Farm in 2015, and opened my agency in 2016. I love serving and helping the people of my community, including Alamogordo, Holloman AFB, Otero County, New Mexico and surrounding states of Texas, Colorado and Arizona. Our team is licensed to assist customers' insurance needs in New Mexico, Texas, Colorado and Arizona including the surrounding areas of Otero County: Alamogordo, High Rolls, Boles Acres, HAFB, Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, Mayhill, Carrizozo, La Luz, Tularosa, and the surrounding areas.

I understand the importance of family, as my mother, Lou Ellen Wilson, continues working with our team at the office. When it comes to the ins and outs of insurance, she’s one of the most knowledgeable people I know having worked in the insurance industry for close to 54 years. I’m so proud to have her on our team. Valerie Amberson started with our team at the beginning of 2024. She is married to a military service member, so she has lived all over the world, but she has also worked for two other State Farm agents previously. Rona Jones is our newest team member. She is from Alabama and moved here courtesy of the military. We love serving all kinds of people and working with them to meet their needs, helping people find answers to their problems and get the right products for them. Our office is friendly, engaging and homey with a family feel. It's filled with antiques and is always a warm and friendly environment. People consider us family, and we try to make each customer feel like they are part of ours.

My team and I are very involved in the Alamogordo community and surrounding areas. We love being part of this amazing area and believe wholeheartedly in supporting it however we can! We stay involved with our community by participating in the "Adopt-A-Spot" Program through the city. You will see us out with our partner squadron (the 49th Contracting Squadron with Holloman Air Force Base) once a quarter doing our part to keep Alamogordo clean. We also all are involved in our respective churches and our families (including our furbabies). Additionally, I am on the board of the Alamogordo Center of Commerce as well as being a member of the Alamogordo Rotary Club and MainGate United. I am also an Honorary Commander to the 49th Contracting Squadron (CONS) at Holloman Air Force Base. Outside the office, besides serving in these civic clubs and boards, I participate in a book club, my church, and walking in 5Ks throughout the year.
